For those looking to experience two of Zambia’s most iconic landscapes through an immersive and exciting 4×4 journey, this tour is a must-do. Particularly suited for couples and families, this expedition begins in Livingstone – the home of one of the world’s most iconic waterfalls, Victoria Falls – and travels through two of Zambia’s most stunning National Parks.

This tour combines stunning biodiversity, unique urban experiences and luxurious riverside comfort on the Zambezi River, offering classic safari activities but with several twists that make it especially enjoyable for those looking for a soft landing into the self-drive world! Zambia's Valleys

Luangwa and Zambezi

20 days

This adventure tour offers an intimate perspective with some of the most beautiful landscapes and scenery that Zambia has to offer, culminating in an extended experience through one of the greatest wildlife corridors left in Africa, the Luangwa River valley.

Those familiar with top African safari destinations will know South Luangwa by reputation. What they may not know is that South Luangwa is the southernmost of two other national parks worth exploring, namely Luambe and North Luangwa National Parks, both of which offer unique and wild experiences that relatively few have experienced.

This tour is one of our more adventurous experiences, and is excellent for families with older children, couples, small groups or solo visitors looking for an experience with other adventure-minded travelers. The richness of this journey and the surprises along the way are what really makes this a special opportunity.

Zambia's Great Migrations

15 days

Zambia is home to two of the world’s largest – but least known – mammal migrations. Our Great Migrations 4×4 tour enables our clients to witness both of these spectacles in one engaging 15-day adventure.

Each year, approximately 10 million straw-coloured fruit bats converge in Kasanka National Park for 2-3 months to feed on seasonal wild fruits. Then, as Zambia’s rainy season draws closer, storms in northeastern Angola drive the world’s second largest wildebeest migration through Liuwa Plain National Park. Liuwa’s massive horizon and open grasslands give a sense of scale and perspective rarely felt in our ordinary lives, which makes this one of our team’s favorite landscapes. These spectacles offer an opportunity for truly unique experiences that can be rivalled in only a few other places on the globe.

This is an excellent tour for a wide range of travelers, as it combines a variety of activities that you don’t often find in a traditional safari. Combined with these overlooked – and under-appreciated migrations – this adventure is sure to be a highlight of your Zambian experience.
